Low Carbon Fuel Standard
Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) programs are designed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from transportation fuels by promoting cleaner alternatives and incentivizing the use of low-carbon fuels. States like California, Oregon, and Washington have implemented LCFS policies, which require fuel producers to lower the carbon intensity of their fuels over time, with tradable credits generated for exceeding targets and penalties for non-compliance. Additionally, New York and the Northeast U.S. are considering adopting similar LCFS programs to drive regional reductions in transportation emissions and encourage the development of sustainable fuel technologies.
Revenue Opportunities
Emissions Experts represents companies who generate credits in the markets listed below. We manage the end-to-end process of registration, report filing, compliance management, credit generation, and ultimately the monetization of client credits. Brokerage agreements with buyers exclusive to Emissions Experts as well as strong relationships with trading shops ensure our credit generators see the market and have consistent liquidity. Because we track these markets every day, clients have the best & most-current information. Contact us to determine if your operations in California, Oregon, or Washington are eligible to generate credits. There is no cost to participate in these programs. If you own even one electric forklift operating in these markets (just one example of a way to earn credits), Emissions Experts will register your company & begin generating credits in the subsequent calendar quarter. Many other types of vehicle fueling are eligible to generate credits as well. Large oceangoing vessels that use shore power in port generate credits in a way very similar to electric forklifts.
